Meet Madelaine
Madelaine and her husband are Rancho Cordova natives who attended schools in the district. They are raising their four children in this great community. All of their children attend schools within the Folsom Cordova Unified School District.
Madelaine served as a parent leader of the Folsom Cordova Community Partnership for years before joining the FCCP team as one of their Resource Specialists. As a parent leader she helped facilitate programs including Tiny Tots, Women in Action, Cardio Dance and Keeping Culture Alive which was funded through a First 5 Community Grant. She also served as the co-chair of the Birth & Beyond Community Advisory Board.
Madelaine is currently the Lead Home Visitor within their Home Visitation Department, where she serves families on both sides of our school district. FCCP is part of the Sacramento Birth & Beyond collaborative. Some of her roles include family support services for parents and caregivers, helping to stabilize families, advocacy, and helping children with not being separated from their families by avoiding Child Protective Services. Madelaine finds great joy in serving her community in this way.
Within the Folsom Cordova Unified School District Madelaine currently serves on the School Site Council for Rancho Cordova Elementary and has served on the Positive Behavior Interventions Supports (PBIS) Committee. She also currently serves on the District Advisory Committee for Rancho Cordova Elementary and Music Boosters for Mitchell Middle School.
Madelaine currently serves as Vice President on the Board of the Rancho Cordova Student Athlete Coalition. Recently, the Rancho Cordova Student Athlete Coalition was able to add new signage all over the Cordova High School campus just in time for the start of the current school year. RCSAC also helps with coaches stipends, athlete uniforms, some transportation costs, security costs and more. They are currently working on several other projects to support our coaches and students too.
On Friday nights you can often find Madelaine volunteering her time at the snack bar during our home football games to support the Cordova High School Gridiron Boosters. Aside from game nights, the booster volunteers time in other various ways with helping to plan and put together weekly team dinners, fundraising and special events.
Over the years Madelaine has been serving our youth within different capacities for her church. This past summer she served up at girls camp as part of the kitchen staff. They served over one hundred girls and adult leaders. She also serves as a girls activity youth leader and has been asked to serve as the head cook for their upcoming girls camp this summer.
Madelaine will continue to advocate that school facilities in Rancho Cordova are prioritized, for continued safety on our campuses and for much needed resources which will look different with each school based on needs. This will not only support our students but also their families, teachers and staff too.
